Allen Edmonds recrafts its own Goodyear-welted shoes at its Port Washington, Wisconsin factory. It only recrafts Allen Edmonds shoes, and warns that some cobbler resoles (nailing or stitching through the insole) can stop the factory from recrafting a pair later.

For welted dress shoes locally, try a full-service cobbler such as Saver of Soles (Fort Collins), Marvin's (Athens) or Fontana's (Ithaca). Ask whether they re-welt or stitch through the insole if you may want factory recrafting later.
