Thorogood Resole: Restoration Options, Prices and Mail-In Services
Thorogood (made by Weinbrenner Shoe Company) doesn't run a factory resole service. Its own repair page tells owners to take worn boots to a trusted local cobbler or to one of the authorized Thorogood retail partners it lists for restoration, and puts a typical resole at around $100–150. Most Thorogood work boots use a Storm welt, a wider version of a Goodyear welt, so they can be resoled several times. The exceptions are boots whose soles are mainly glued on or were glued in an earlier repair.

- Covers
- Welted Thorogood boots whose uppers are intact and whose insoles aren't cracked. Any third-party restoration or alteration voids Thorogood's one-year limited warranty, and normal sole wear isn't covered by that warranty anyway.

NuShoe Thorogood Boot Restoration Program (mail-in)
NuShoe runs a dedicated Thorogood program for most styles (uniform, work, fire, outdoor, military and 1892), rebuilt by hand with original Meramec soles. Complete Restoration $130: new outsole and midsole, any stitching needed, new insoles and laces, clean and recondition. Classic Restoration $100: new outsole, new laces, clean and polish (no heel liners or stitching). Tuff Toe toe protection is $25 added to a repair. You aren't charged until the boots go into repair, and you can text photos to 1-619-568-2693 to ask whether a pair is repairable.
Local cobblers
Crossroads Shoe Repair in Roanoke sells Thorogood work boots and does resoles. For a local resole on a welted Thorogood, full-service boot shops such as AAA Boot & Shoe Repair (Lubbock, an authorized Vibram dealer), Dawson Shoe Repair (Columbia) or Bob's Shoe Repair (Rapid City) are worth a call. Ask whether they restitch the welt, and remember that third-party work voids Thorogood's warranty.
